The Ukrainian-American military exercises “Rapid Trident – 2021” ended in Lviv region, in which the border commandant's office of the Izmail border guard detachment took part.

During the exercises, the border guards, in cooperation with the servicemen of the defense and security sector of Ukraine and foreign units as well, worked out a number of training and combat tasks to repel the enemy's attack and take control over certain borders. The final stage for the special forces was to take control of the state border and deploy a system of control and regime measures. In total, more than 100 servicemen and 20 vehicles were involved in the exercises.

Before the march of the military column from the training ground of the International Center for Peacekeeping and Security, the border guards were greeted by their co-leader, Colonel Michael Hanson.

“Border guards showed a high level of skills during the training of all elements of these exercises. Your Constitution enshrines Ukraine's desire to join NATO. Follow this path, reform”, Colonel Michael Hanson summed up the training.

At the end of the event, the co-leader of the exercises handed over certificates of participation in the Ukrainian-American military training “Rapid Trident – 2021” to the Deputy Chief of the Izmail Border Guard Detachment - Commander of the Border Guard Rapid Response Commandant Colonel Orest Moroz.
