The cadets of the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine took part in an international training programme at the Specialized Training Centre of the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland (Luban).

The internship programme was attended by cadets who will join the ranks of officers of administrative jurisdiction units in the future.

During the training, the Ukrainian cadets studied practical aspects of ensuring the entry and legal stay of third-country nationals in the EU Member States, as well as algorithms for detaining, identifying, expelling and escorting offenders. The future border guard officers also had the opportunity to learn modern methods, forms of organization and tools for carrying out administrative and jurisdictional activities. It was particularly useful to learn about the practical range of measures taken by EU member states during the artificial migration crisis.

"I have extremely positive impressions of the visit to my Polish colleagues," says Bohdan Kundilovskyi, a fourth-year cadet of the Law Enforcement Faculty, "I liked proper organization of the internship, and thanks to this experience I have the opportunity to compare the approaches and specifics of the activities of Ukrainian and Polish border guards." Upon completion of the course, the future border guard officers were presented with completion certificates in the area of "Organizations for Combating Illegal Migration".
