On November, 18, a meeting of the Commission for Prevention and Counteraction of Offenses during the crossing of the state border of the Ukrainian-Polish Intergovernmental Coordination Council for Interregional Cooperation took place.

On the Ukrainian side, the meeting was attended by representatives of the Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the Western Regional Borderguard Directorate, Lviv and Volyn borderguard detachments, as well as Lviv Customs. The Polish delegation included representatives of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, the Border Guard of the Republic of Poland, regional units of customs and tax administration.

The parties praised the cooperation in border protection and the bilateral contribution to combating illegal activities on the common border, while noting that the situation on the common border remains dynamic, but controlled.

During the meeting, the participants discussed the situation at border crossing points across the Ukrainian-Polish state border, the issue of ensuring the rhythm of border crossing operations, including in the context of exacerbation of the epidemiological situation in Ukraine and Poland.

In addition, delegations considered the procedure for taking joint measures to prevent and combat offenses related to forgery of vaccination documents. By the way, Polish colleagues were shown the operation of the equipment with the software "Safe Border", which allows to verify the validity of vaccination certificates automatically.

Agreements were reached on all issues submitted for consideration. The participants of the meeting stressed the need to increase the effectiveness of joint efforts to ensure an adequate level of security on the common border during its protection and implementation of access operations, while providing a sufficient level of comfort for travelers.
