Reinforced border patrol of “Biriukove” border guard division, Luhansk border guard detachment, guarded the state border in the direction of Astakhove Ukrainian settlement and Novoprokhorivka Russian settlement. Near 3.30 a.m. on May, 27, border guards noticed a column of several trucks, cars and microbuses following from Russia to Ukraine. At 3.40 a.m. the column crossed the state border, where it was met by border guards with fire. They came to blow. Violators partially broke through Ukrainian border towards Antracyt. As a result, border guards damaged and took microbus, two cars, one of the gunmen was seriously injured. Detained cars were full of Kalashnikov rifles, light anti-tank weapons and explosives.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine has informed the Federal Security Service of Russian Federation on taking the immediate measures and preventing illegal crossing the state border from Russia.
