Yesterday three cases of bribe refusal were recorded by the borderguards of Bilhorod-Dnistrovsk Border Detachment at “Kuchurhan-auto” checkpoint.

The money remuneration was offered by three citizens of Moldova. One of them tried to pay a borderguard 300 hryvnas for the admission of the vehicle with sugar and for not unloading it. Another man tried to expedite the border control for departure from Ukraine with the help of money remuneration and offered the border detail 100 hryvnas. Offering 100 hryvnas one more Moldavian wanted “to settle the question” concerning his 54-day overstaying in Ukraine. The borderguards declined a bribe offer flatly. Concerning all three cases the information about the crime committing under Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Bribery payment) was sent to Rozdilne police authorities in Odessa region.

The borderguards of Kramatorsk Border Detachment transferred one more offender, who tried to involve the borderguards into illegal activities during the control process at “Mariinka” entry-exit checkpoint, to the police officers in Donetsk region. The citizen of Ukraine who moved to the uncontrolled territory offered the border detail 200 hryvnas for entering a cargo minibus “Folkswagen” with the Ukrainian registration into the database as a passenger vehicle.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine appeals to all the citizens who cross the border, the demarcation line in the ATO zone and the administrative boundary with the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, not to break the current legislation of Ukraine and not to try to involve the officials of the State Border Guard Service into illegal activities, offering them bribes for making illegal decisions. We inform that in case of such facts revealing the responsibility for your offer or extortion of improper advantage from you is punished by the law, and offenders are transferred to law enforcement bodies and can be made criminally liable.
