The other day border guards of the Sumy border guard detachment detained an Azerbaijani citizen who illegally crossed the border from the territory of the Russian Federation to Ukraine outside the Bachivsk BCP.

As it turned out, the man was already trying to enter the territory of Ukraine that day through the Bachivsk BCP. However, there was a database alert against him - in September last year, a foreigner did not fulfill the decision on forced return with the obligation to leave Ukraine in due time. Border guards denied him a permit to enter Ukraine and emposed him a ban on entering Ukraine for 5 years.

The foreigner is currently detained to find out all the circumstances of the offense. He faces administrative liability for crossing the state border of Ukraine illegally. He also faces criminal liability for crossing the state border of Ukraine during the ban on entry into Ukraine. His future will be decided by the court.

The detained Azerbaijani citizen will also be banned from entering Ukraine for 10 years.
