The State Border Guard Service effectively uses the database of the International Criminal Police Organization - INTERPOL.

In particular, yesterday, border guards of the Lviv Border Guard Detachment found a car stolen in Ukraine.

A 44-year-old Ukrainian arrived at the Krakivets border crossing point by a Mitsubishi car. During the border control, the database was triggered. As the border guards found out, the vehicle was stolen in March last year.

Border guards immediately informed the Ukrainian Interpol Bureau in Kyiv and received confirmation of the information about the car. Eventually, the 2021 vehicle and the driver were handed over to the National Police.
