Recently, cargo with various valuable goods arrived at Boryspil Airport from Leipzig and Baku. To evade mandatory customs duties, smugglers transported shipments as personal belongings.

The other day law enforcement officers searched the premises of one of the terminals of the Boryspil customs post. During the searches, law enforcement officers found spare parts for Tesla cars, Tifani jewelry, various APPLE products (mobile phones, computers, TV-12 devices, smart watches, wireless chargers, wireless headphones), smart watches and mobile Xiami phones, Redmi wireless headphones, virtual reality glasses, tattoo tools and paints, 700 kg of hookah tobacco without excise stamps. According to operative data, smuggled products were planned to be sold by dealers through affiliated points of wholesale and retail trade.

Measures to expose the offense were carried out by officers of the Main Directorate for Combating Corruption and Organized Crime of the SSU together with investigators of the Main Directorate of the SSU in Kyiv and Kyiv region under the procedural guidance of the Kyiv Regional Prosecutor's Office and in cooperation with operatives of the Kyiv separate check point   of the State Border Guard Service.

The detected undeclared goods were seized before the court decision. The estimated cost of the seized goods is about 30,000,000 UAH.
