Border guards of Chernivtsi Border Guard Detachment refused exit to a 38-year-old Ukrainian from Donetsk region at Kelmentsi Border Crossing Point.

Having realized the fact that he falls under the category of persons who are currently prohibited from leaving Ukraine, the man decided to bribe a border guard official. That is why the Donetsk resident offered the border guards a 1,000 US dollar bribe to get to Moldova illegally.

The border guard refused the bribe and warned the man of the criminal liability for these actions.

The fact of offering a bribe to a public official was documented by officers of the Internal Investigations Department of the Chernivtsi Border Guard Detachment.

Having drafted all the necessary papers, the border guards handed the offender over to representatives of the National Police.
