Border guards of the Mukachevo Border Guard Detachment prevented an attempt of smuggling tobacco products to Hungary.

Three people carrying packages wrapped in polyethylene were spotted by the border patrol of the Luzhanka Border Guard Department while implementing intelligence information on possible illegal activity. The wrongdoers were trying to overcome the wired fence. The border guards overtook the smugglers and detained them. The traffickers tried to smuggle 6 packages of cigarettes (3,800 packs of cigarettes) to the neighboring country.

The border guards delivered the contraband tobacco to the border guard department, later it will be handed over to the customs officials.

Protocols on the administrative offense committed by the detainees have been drawn up; the case has been sent to the court.
