An attempt to smuggle the vehicle into Ukraine was prevented by border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment.

The illegal deal was discovered by a border control inspector at the BCP Vylok.

While checking the documents for a car “Skoda Superb” made in 2018 with Czech license plates, which was being driven to Ukraine by our 29-year-old compatriot, border guards found a number of signs pointing to a complete forgery of the vehicle registration certificate. In particular, the document provided by the Ukrainian lacked microtext of the established sample, the establishment data were printed with inkjet printing, and the fluorescence was found to be discrepant in ultraviolet rays.

During further investigation of the circumstances of the offense, border guards found the original vehicle registration certificate. It turned out that the car driven by the Ukrainian belonged to the Czech company where he worked. To enter the territory of Ukraine, the man had to have a power of attorney to drive the vehicle, but he could not obtain it, so he decided to forge a document to cross the border.

Border guards informed the National Police about the criminal offense in the actions of the Ukrainian.

The driver and the vehicle were handed over to officers of the Berehovo Rayon Police Department according to the established procedure.
