While patrolling the state border, servicemen of the "Krasnoilsk" division of the Chernivtsi detachment discovered a Mitsubishi Pajero vehicle.

The off-road vehicle was moving at high speed in the direction of the state border.  The driver stubbornly ignored the request of the border guard to stop, as well as the warning shots fired upwards.  However, running away at high speed, he ran into a wooden block and stopped.

To avoid responsibility, he left the car and ran away.  During the inspection of the vehicle with foreign registration in the luggage compartment, military personnel found four packages with tobacco products.

Subsequently, as a result of search operations, border guards detained three unknown men, who were probably accomplices of the driver.  The offenders were local residents, one of whom was under age.  Currently, the car with the tobacco products and the offenders has been handed over to the National Police.

For an attempt to move and sell excise goods, a notification was sent to the National Police about the detection of a criminal offense provided for in Art.  204 of the Criminal Code "Illegal manufacture, storage, sale or transportation for the purpose of sale of excise goods."
