Operatives from the Chernivtsi border guard detachment recently received advanced information about the planning of an illegal transportation attempt involving a Ukrainian citizen heading to Romania.

Subsequently, near the state border, law enforcement officers intercepted a car carrying a male passenger and driven by a female resident of the Chernivtsi region. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the woman had agreed to assist a Kyiv resident in crossing the border illegally for a sum of 2,000 US dollars.

Efforts are currently underway to identify the main organizer of this illegal scheme.

The detained woman is now facing criminal responsibility, and materials have been prepared for an administrative offense against her 'client.
