Today in the morning border guards of Chrnivtsi Border Guard Detachment in cooperation with customs officials revealed “a businessman” and his hidden goods at Porubne BCP which is on the Ukrainian-Romanian border sector.

At about 6 a.m., a 25-year-old Ukrainian citizen arrived at the BCP in a Mercedes minibus. During deep inspection of the vehicle, the joint inspection group detected more than 3.6 thousand packs of cigarettes without excise labels of Ukraine. The Bukovinian hid the tobacco products in the double bottom and other natural voids of his vehicle.

Smuggled cigarettes and a minibus, estimated at almost 300,000 hryvnias, were confiscated from the man.
