Border guards together with the representatives of the Custom Service prevented an attempt of smuggling illegal goods at “Krakivets” border crossing point.

54-years old driver returned to Ukraine in her “Renault” minibus. According to risk analysis, border guards decided to inspect car more carefully.

Later, joint search group detected hidden goods in the trunk of the automobile. Namely, portable and air compressors of various brands, rechargeable batteries, various types of flashlights, and soldering irons.

In general, the driver attempted to smuggle over 300 units of household goods across the state border.

A protocol was drawn up regarding this incident. Customs officers confiscated the goods, and the valuation amount will be determined separately.
