At the “Hoptivka” checkpoint, border guards of the Kharkiv detachment detected a person who was wanted by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.

At the “Hoptivka” checkpoint, border guards of the Kharkiv detachment detected a person who was wanted by Ukrainian law enforcement agencies.

A Ukrainian citizen born in 1993 was travelling on foot from Russia to Ukraine. During a document check, border guards found out that the man was wanted by the National Police.

As it turned out, our fellow countryman had been wanted since June 2020 on suspicion of committing a crime. The man left Ukraine for the Russian Federation back in 2015 and hoped that today all charges against him had been dropped.

The citizen was handed over to representatives of the National Police for further legal decision.
