Border guards of the Volyn detachment together with the customs officials detected objects that may have cultural or historical value.

The luggage was found during the inspection of the passenger train at the Yagodyn border crossing point.

Six ancient icons and a book of visas were carried in a travel bag by one of the passengers who was traveling to Poland by the Kyiv-Helm train yesterday.

The found icons were confiscated by the customs officials in accordance with the established procedure.

Whether the found objects have cultural or historical value will be determined by the appropriate expertise.
