A FORD car with a Moldovan-registered trailer was found last night by border guards of the Chernihiv BG detachment at the Senkivka border crossing point. A Turkish citizen driving the car was going to leave Ukraine.

At the entrance to the BCP, border guards noticed some damage to the front of the car, which could indicate a possible accident. Therefore, the border guards immediately informed the police and detained the driver up to their arrival.

It has been previously established that the driver, a Turkish citizen, may be involved in the hitting two women on bicycles with a car in Chernihiv region; one of the women died as a result of the accident.

It was previously established that the foreigner was in a state of alcoholic intoxication.

Urgent investigative actions are underway.
