A Transcarpathian gave dealers USD 1000 for a fake document

A citizen who tried to illegally cross the border with a forged document was detained at the checkpoint «Vylok» by border guards of the Mukachevo Detachment.

While checking the documents of a 33-year-old resident of Rakhiv district in Transcarpathia, a border guard inspector found signs of forgery in one of the three birth certificates of his children.

During the questioning, the man admitted that for USD 1,000 he had received a fake document made and mailed to him by criminals he had found in one of the social networks.

Border guards sent a report to the National Police about the presence of signs of a crime in the actions of the Ukrainian.

Ukrainian legislation provides for liability for the use of a knowingly forged document in the form of a fine of up to fifty tax-free minimum incomes, or arrest for up to six months, or restraint of liberty for up to two years.
