Border guards from Lutsk and Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi found a wanted Ukrainian citizen and a foreigner, wanted by Interpol for more than four years, at border crossing points.

A 28-year-old resident of the Volyn region was returning by bus from abroad through the Yahodyn BCP. During the passport control, border guards found that the woman was wanted by law enforcement officers in Ukraine.

Border guards detained a 53-year-old Moldovan citizen in “Starokozache”. The foreigner was traveling to Ukraine by car. An Interpol database was activated against the citizen during the border control. Romanian law enforcement officials have been searching for the man for more than four years to prosecute him for failing to fulfill his parental responsibilities.

Both offenders were handed over to the National Police of Ukraine.
