Border guards of the Chop border detachment detained a violator who was attempting to smuggle a batch of untaxed tobacco products into Slovakia.

During a patrol, the border patrol discovered an unknown person in the area of the Solomono village in the Uzhhorod district heading towards the state border with two packages. The man did not have any documents identifying him, and the packages he was carrying contained 1000 packs of tobacco products without Ukrainian excise tax stamps. Later, it was established that the detainee was a Ukrainian citizen and a local resident.

The violator and the cigarettes were taken to the border unit.
