At the Mohyliv-Podilskyi border crossing point, a Russian violator tried to bribe an official of the State Border Guard Service.

The foreigner wanted to enter Ukraine. In the process of the border control, it was found out that the Russian citizen had exceeded the allowed terms during the previous stay. When border guards announced their refusal for him to pass, the 38-year-old citizen of the aggressor country decided to settle the case with a considerable bribe. The Russian offered the border guard $ 1,500, which the State Border Service officer refused to accept and reported an attempted bribe.

The offered amount of money did give the bribe-giver the opportunity to enter Ukraine, but not on the planned route. Border guards informed the National Police and the Prosecutor's Office about the signs of a crime. The Russian national was detained. He was taken from the BCP by a police crew. Now the bribe-giver is in a pre-trial detention center of Vinnytsia city department of NPU.
