Recently, goods and illicit items were found by the border guards of the Chernivtsi BG detachment together with customs officers.

The initiative for an additional inspection of the Mercedes minibus came from the border guards. The car belonged to our 27-year-old compatriot who was driving through the Porubne BCP to neighbouring Romania. During the car inspection, in the cargo compartment, border guards found a magnetic compass “KT-M1m” made in 1955, a sextant “SNO-M” made in 1971, six gas masks with different components. These items may be subjected to the Law of Ukraine “On State Control over International Transfers of Military and Dual-Use Goods”.

In addition, among the boxes and suitcases were found other items that may have cultural and historical value, namely: accordion “FIROTTI” in a wooden case and camera “Fotokor-1” with six cassettes.
