Recently, as a result of operative information, a joint interdepartmental group consisting of operatives of the Kramatorsk Border Guard Detachment and representatives of the SSSU in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, under the procedural guidance of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, conducted a number of searches in several cities of Donetsk region.

The searches revealed counterfeit alcohol products with a volume of about 1,400 liters with signs of excise tax stamps forgery of various brands.

Also, the servicemen found 2,500 packs of counterfeit tobacco products made in Ukraine with obvious signs of excise stamps forgery. The detected goods were confiscated by representatives of the prosecutor's office.

The total estimated amount of the counterfeit is 350 thousand hryvnias.

Participants of the open criminal proceedings face liability under Part 3 of Art. 204 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of this article is imprisonment for a term of five to ten years.
