Servicemen of the Chop BG Detachment, in cooperation with Slovak colleagues, stopped the illegal intentions of six foreigners who intended to enter the EU from Ukraine illegally.

The servicemen of the Uzhhorod BG division received information about the movement of a group of unknown people near the border. Additional border patrols were sent to search for possible offenders and cooperation with the Slovak Border Police was organized.

During the search, 100 meters from the fence in a wooded area, border guards detained two men who were heading towards the state border. Four more offenders were stopped by Slovak colleagues. All detainees identified themselves as Afghan citizens, and some had temporary residence permits in Ukraine. They acknowledged their intention to reach Slovakia and later Western Europe.
