Border Guards of the Chop Border Guard detachment detained a German citizen who was trying to reach the territory of our state bypassing checkpoints.

A foreigner was found near the Malyi Bereznyi BCP. Noticing law enforcement officers, he tried to escape and did not respond to the request to stop. In order to stop the offender's illegal actions, the border guards had to make a warning shot.

The detainee had a German passport with him. During the inspections, border guards found that the man had previously tried to enter the territory of Ukraine through the Malyi Bereznyi BCP. He was then denied a pass due to the lack of an insurance policy. However, instead of buying the certificate, the man decided to enter Ukraine in an illegal way. The detainee said that he was going to Lviv at the invitation of acquaintances.

Now the foreigner will have to answer for reckless actions in the court. Signs of offenses under Part 1 of Article 204-1 “Illegal crossing or attempted illegal crossing of the state border of Ukraine” and Article 185-10 "Malicious disobedience to a lawful order or requirement of a serviceman or employee of the SBGS" are featured in his actions.
