Yesterday, more than 1 500 packs of cigarettes were detained from the citizen of Germany when he tried to cross Ukrainian-Hungarian state border at “Luzhanka” border crossing point.

Border guards of Mukacheve border guard detachment noticed that a driver tried to speed up passing of all necessary procedures for border crossing. Therefore, the “Ford” vehicle was directed for additional inspection.  Tobacco products of “Marlboro”, “West”, “Chesterfield”, “BOND”, “L&M”, “LD” brands (Ukrainian origin) were detected in the constructional features of the vehicle. Now, the relevant procedural documents on violator are complied. Cigarettes and the vehicle were confiscated (cost of confiscated goods 64 000 UAH).

Besides, at the weekend border guard inspector of “Horonhlab” border guard division detected 3 more boxes with “ownerless” cigarettes near the state border with Hungary.
