Another channel for transporting conscripted men across the border was exposed by the border guards as part of the operational and preventive measures "Rubizh - 2022".

The border patrol of the "Luzhanka" division of the Mukachevo detachment detained two citizens of Ukraine at a distance of 200 meters from the border. Residents of Lviv region were looking for an opportunity to enter Hungary illegally.

To find out all the circumstances of the offense, the men were taken to the border unit.

During the survey, the employees of the operative and investigative devision of the Mukachevo border detachment found out that the detainees are a father and son who agreed to the offer of dealers from Uzhhorod to assist in illegally leaving the territory of Ukraine. The fugitives paid EUR 5,000 to the shippers for illegal services. The border guards also identified a person involved in the organization of illegal transportation of men across the state border.

In the course of further measures, the operatives of the Mukachevo detachment, together with the Migration Police of Zakarpattia region, established the whereabouts of the specified person.

For assisting in the illegal crossing of the state border, the man faces a prison sentence of seven to nine years.
