A bus driver tried to smuggle a batch of goods across the Ukrainian-Polish border

An attempt to smuggle undeclared goods was prevented by border guards and customs officers at the Shehyni border crossing point.
The 50-year-old driver of the Stryi-Przemysl bus was traveling to Ukraine at night. Based on the analysis and risk assessment, border guards decided to check the bus more thoroughly. During the inspection, the inspection team found undeclared goods in the luggage compartment and on the shelves.
In total, the resident of Stryi was transporting 119 sights, 15 air rifles, and 50 stun guns, more than 200 knives of various types and almost 1,400 rounds of ammunition for an air rifle.
A report was drawn up over the incident. The "finding" was seized by customs officers, the value of the confiscated items will be established later.
