Border guards revealed signs of forgery and spelling errors in the authorization, which was produced for border control by the girl's father.

A resident of Ivano-Frankivsk region and his 14-year-old daughter recently arrived by car at the Tysa BCP on the border with Hungary in Zakarpattia region. They said they were going to Italy, where the girl's mother works. As a reason for the minor citizen to leave Ukraine, her father gave her mother's certified consent. But in a document allegedly issued by the Consulate General of Ukraine in Milan, border guards of the Chop Border Guard Detachment found both inconsistencies in the form and the difference between the stamp and the standard pattern, and common spelling errors. In this regard, the man and his daughter did not cross the border of Ukraine. Moreover, border guards sent a report to the National Police to identify signs of a crime under Art. 358 of the Criminal Code «Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, their sale, use of forged documents.”

We remind you that departure from Ukraine of citizens under 16 years of age, accompanied by one of the parents or other persons authorized by one of the parents with a notarized consent, is carried out with the notarized consent of the other parent indicating the country of destination and relevant length of stay in that state if the other parent is absent at the BCP. And the use of a knowingly forged document is punishable by a fine of up to fifty non-taxable minimum incomes or arrest for up to six months, or restriction of liberty for up to two years.
