Two citizens of Romania hid several thousand packs of cigarettes in a minibus and a car

A Romanian citizen of 1994 was returning home through the “Porubne” border crossing point by a minibus with a trailer.

In the course of the inspection of his vehicle, border guards found hiding places made in the floor of the cargo compartment. Border guards detected more than 2.8 thousand packs of cigarettes without excise stamps for a total value of about UAH 275 thousand. A report was sent to the Chernivtsi Regional Department of the Economic Security Bureau. The detected cigarettes and the car were seized according to the established procedure.

Another Romanian citizen of 1955 was leaving Ukraine by car that day, at the same border crossing point. The border guards revealed 170 packs of cigarettes without excise stamps valued at over UAH 15 thousand hidden under the lining of his car.

The cigarettes and the car were seized. Customs officials drew up a protocol on violation of Customs regulations.
