In Transcarpathia, the border guards of Chop borderguard detachment exposed a 26-year-old resident of Ternopil Oblast trying to leave Ukraine using forged documents. The man was traveling by bus to Hungary through Tisa border crossing point. He produced his passport with a package of documents for border control. According to his documents he was leaving as a volunteer for humanitarian aid for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

However, during the inspection, the border guards found out that the documents were forged. The man, who was exposed as a fraud, admitted that he purchased the entire package via the Internet for 2,000 euros, and tried to "fix" the problem with a bribe. He offered the border guard detail a cash reward of 1,600 euros.

The inspector refused categorically such an "agreement", and National Police officers were called.

Now the fraud has to answer for committing two criminal offenses. After receiving the decision to deny the pass, the citizen, accompanied by the investigative and operational group, went to the police station to give an explanation.

In view of the event, we remind you of the criminal responsibility for offering or providing an illegal benefit to an official of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
