Recently, on the basis of separate commandant protection and ensure the meeting of First Deputy Chairman of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, Lieutenant-General Vasyl Servatiuk and second Deputy Secretary of State James Walsh and head of the Ukrainian office of the Bureau of Law Enforcement and the international fight against drug trafficking (INL) Christopher Smith.

During the meeting to discuss the state and prospects of implementing joint projects of international technical assistance, to assess their effectiveness and identify priority areas for further cooperation, which starting in 2014 contributed to capacity building of border agency of Ukraine.

Currently, in cooperation with the INL conducted systematic work on creating trained and equipped mobile unit State Border - Border Special Forces - to perform tasks associated with complex challenges for law enforcement Ukrainian border.

The US delegation to familiarize with the course curriculum working with special measures now in progress involving instructors US Drug Enforcement staff mobile unit State Border Guard Service.

In addition, INL attached to the project "New Face of the border", which aims to provide high standards in providing services at checkpoints and improvement of border crossing procedures, coupled with effective anti-corruption measures.

Also, while in Ukraine the US State Department delegation yesterday visited the East regional management of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. It was introduced to the operational activity of border protection, weapons, uniforms, equipment and technology used by mobile units of the regional administration. Delegates visited checkpoints "Hoptivka", "Zhuravlevka" green border area department "Voroshilov" Kharkiv detachment, where they presented the elements of the integrated system of border and combat module "Triton-01" with the system of the radar.

While working at checkpoints and border on a green head East regional management Border Service of Ukraine Serhiy Bidylo briefed members of the US delegation to the peculiarities of the implementation of the state border, as its engineering and fortification arrangement.
