Within the scope of the 1st Component of the Twinning Project “Support to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in further development of IBM approaches for travel document verification and stolen motor vehicles detection”, a group of EU experts of the National Border agencies of the Federal Republic of Germany, the Republic of Poland and Lithuania was working throughout the whole week at the premises of the Administration of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

The main attention of the European experts was focused on the practical implementation in Ukraine of the updated version of the Common Integrated Risk Analysis Model – CIRAM 2.0 being used in the EU Member States.

Very fruitful was the workshop being conducted by means of using the methods of risk analysis on practice with regards to the evaluation of the real situation on the State border and its impact on the secure environment.

Apart from the officers of the Administration of the State Border Guard Service, the analytical experts from a separate BCP “Kyiv”, Lviv detachment and the Southern regional department took part in the workshop.

It’s forthcoming that based on the results of the complex risk analysis the EU experts will propose the acting mechanisms of the border security improvement and in addition, - on the interagency risk analysis system taking into the account the EU standards.
