The State Border Guard Service Administration held a meeting with Tarmo Kokhv- the Special Representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Estonia in Ukraine
BACKDuring the meeting the circumstance and prospects of further development of cooperation between the border agencies of Ukraine and the Republic of Estonia were discussed.
The parties discussed the implementation of the Plan for Development of Cooperation between the Border Guard Agencies of the two countries for 2021-2022, as well as a draft Memorandum of Understanding between the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and Estonia Police and Border Guard Board on cooperation in combating transnational crime.
The Ukrainian side focused on strengthening the cooperation of operational units and the need to strengthen the development potential of the Maritime Guard.
The parties agreed to hold joint trainings and internships for commanders of Maritime Guard ships, as well as to hold an online conference for communication and information systems specialists.
Inspector General Tarmo Kokhv expressed Ukraine's strong support in defending its sovereignty and territorial integrity and assured of the aspirations of the Estonian police for further cooperation with the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
