Yesterday, the celebration events dedicated to the 24-th anniversary of National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after B. Khmelnitsky was held in Khmelnitsky regional philharmonic.

Yesterday, the celebration events dedicated to the 24-th anniversary of National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine named after B. Khmelnitsky was held in Khmelnitsky regional philharmonic.

At the beginning of the events everybody called the Heroes killed in fierce battles fighting against Russian aggressors for the territorial integrity and independence of Ukraine to their mind, and honored their memory with a minute of silence.

The First Deputy Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Lieutenant General Vasyl Servatiuk addressed to all the guests with a welcoming speech and noted that “the National Academy was and remains to be a flagship of the system of the training for highly qualified specialists of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and other agencies. A synthesis of the practical component of the research, intensive use of innovative technologies and active participation in the life of the country enable our graduates to succeed in their future careers and solve complicated tasks on protection and defense of state border”.

During the years of Academy existence it trained more than 10 thousand officers for the bodies of The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, other law enforcement agencies of Ukraine, together with specialists for other countries like Moldova, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Armenia and Tajikistan.   

Now about 30 doctors of Sciences and 200 candidates of Sciences working at the Academy convey their knowledge and professionalism to the graduates who are honored to perform tasks to ensure territorial integrity of the state, counteract smuggling, irregular migration and other illegal activities at the state border.

During the ceremony, the Order of the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on the promotion of the Academy staff was announced together with the awards which were presented on the occasion of the anniversary of the Academy.

In addition, 7 servicemen were awarded by accommodation certificates according to the charge of the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

Solemn of anniversary of the Academy was followed by the concert of the Academic song and dance ensemble of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.
