Today, the Head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Viktor Nazarenko has met the Minister of Internal Affairs of Hungary Shander Pinter in the framework of his official visit to Hungary.
First of all Viktor Nazarenko thanked to the Minister of Internal Affairs of Hungary for the support in development of cooperation between border guard agencies of Ukraine and Hungary and admitted that the success in combating illegal activities was achieved due to efforts of both sides.
During the last year more than 300 border-representative meetings on the Ukrainian-Hungarian border protection issues were conducted, 159 joint border patrolling of “green” border were held, more than 400 information warnings were sent and received. The main result is control of situation at the border, despite of dynamic and intense movement of persons and vehicles across the common border.
Viktor Nazarenko has also admitted that the main achievement in current year is that the experts of both countries had started work on creating of regulatory framework for implementing joint control at the border crossing points.
Mister Shander Pinter informed Viktor Nazarenko about migration situation, which occurred on the territory of Hungary, and perspectives of further cooperation between border guard agencies of Ukraine and Hungary.
At the end of the meeting, Viktor Nazarenko assured mister Shander that the SBGSU within its competence will do everything in its power for Ukrainian integration into European law enforcement field.
