A solemn event dedicated to honoring Ukrainian soldiers - border guards, who participated in warfare and peacekeeping operations, was held in the Administration of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on February the 14h.

A solemn event dedicated to honoring Ukrainian soldiers - border guards, who participated in warfare and peacekeeping operations, was held in the Administration of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on February the 14^h.

Leaders of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, members of the Ukrainian veterans -  border guards organization,  the staff of Administration of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and other guests took part in  the event.

The Head of  State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Viktor Nazarenko noted: “Today more than 300 soldiers,  who've fought in Afghanistan remain in the rows of State Border Guard Service. They are the real military professionals - faithful and courageous. And their invaluable combat experience was useful for military personnel, who performs duties in eastern Ukraine”.

"At the same time, defending the Homeland, our soldiers gained their own invaluable experience. And this experience is completely different, because today we protect our Homeland against the aggressor!" – emphasized Viktor Nazarenko.

Furthermore, he assured, that  we would always remember those border guards, who gave their lives in the Afghanistan war, and those, who died in the east of Ukraine".

Then, everyone with a minute of silence honored fallen soldiers, including those, who died in the ATO area.
