Leaders of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Department of Border Police of the Republic of Moldova signed documents on cooperation

The meeting between the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and the Prime Minister of Moldova Paul Philipov was held on February,13th.

During the meeting, the Heads of Governments discussed urgent issues of cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova, in particular, the trade-economic sphere, infrastructure, ecology, border and regional cooperation.

Volodymyr Groysman expressed the interest of the Government to implement the joint control at the "Kuchurgan-Pervomaisk" checkpoint  till the end of this year.

Moreover, the Prime Minister of Ukraine and the Prime Minister of Moldova signed the roadmap of Ukrainian-Moldovan cooperation for 2017.

The Head of Department Border Police of Republic of  Moldova Fredolin Lekar and the Head of  State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Viktor Nazarenko  participated in the meeting. Leaders evaluated  the results of the state border protection. Furthermore, they  noted,  that the appropriate level of border security and border integrity was provided with the help of joint efforts.

During the meeting, Viktor Nazarenko and Fredolin Lekar signed the Protocol between the Administration of State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the Department of the MIA Border Police of Moldova.

During the bilateral meeting,  leaders of  the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and the department of  Border Police of Moldova discussed  the results of joint protection of the state border in 2016 and the main directions of cooperation for 2017. In particular, the Head of  the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine Viktor Nazarenko  emphasized on improving the efficiency of border protection and cooperation between  border guard agencies of Ukraine and Moldova.

At the end of the meeting, the parties signed the  Protocol.
