The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine continues to conduct enhanced security measures at all areas of the border. First of all, this is due to the holding of Russian-Belarusian trainings «West-2017», which began on September 14 and will last until September 20.

In particular, the border agency conducted two-stage command and staff exercises of the management departments and state border protection units. They continued as part of the operational training of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

Currently,the border guards continue to cover the directions of possible provocative actions and armed incursions in close cooperation with the Armed Forces, the National Guard and the National Police. The reserves of the SBGS are also attracted. Such events will continue at least until the end of the «West-2017» exercise.

In addition, these directions are intensified by border aviation. In particular, the crew of air squadrons on patrol aircraft conduct air monitoring of the border and have already inspected about 900 km of the state border.
