For two days, 12 and 13 September in Uzhgorod, the work XII session of the Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Slovak Commission on CBC.

During the event, with the participation of the Slovak delegation - Secretary of State Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Slovak Republic Rudolf Urbanovicha, General Consul of the Slovak Republic in Uzhgorod Yankees Burianovoyi and representatives of Ukraine - First Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Vyacheslav Nehoda, Head of Zakarpattya Oblast State Administration Gennady Moskal, Deputy Director of Department - head of border control of the State border service of Ukraine Yuriy Lysyuk, Uzhgorod Mayor Bogdan Andriyiva discussed wide range of issues.

In particular, they discussed issues related to normative regulation introducing joint control at checkpoints, border infrastructure development at the Ukrainian-Slovak border, modernization and reconstruction of border crossing points to improve the mechanism of local border traffic and geographical expansion of its action, cooperation in the control of persons vehicles and goods in joint checkpoints and so on.

During the meeting was discussed the continuing work within the large-scale EU project "Modernization and reconstruction of checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Slovak border" to create appropriate and European conditions for individuals crossing the border at the checkpoints on the Ukrainian-Slovak state border and many other issues.

 

After the meeting, the sides agreed to continue cooperation in this direction.
