In Zakarpattia, border guards of Mukachevo border guard detachment detained two foreigners who were trying to cross the state border of Ukraine illegally.

Two people running towards the state border with Romania were revealed by Velyky Bychkiv unit at about 3 am today. The men did not have any documents, they were detained and taken to the border guard unit. While interviewing, one of the detainees identified himself as an Afghan citizen and the other as a Pakistani citizen. The “travelers” also reported that they allegedly entered Ukraine legally. This information is currently being verified. In addition, border guards establish a circle of people involved in organizing the illegal travel of foreigners.

The detained citizens were taken to the temporary holding facility of Mukachevo border guard detachment. The further fate of the travelers and the assessment of their actions will be determined by the court.
