Foreigners trying to reach the EU illegally were found by border guards from the Smilnytsia and Krakivets BG Divisions.

In one case, information about the appearance of foreigners at the border was provided by an employee of the operational unit. The border detail stopped two travelers a few hundred meters from the border with Poland on the outskirts of one of the localities of Sambir district. The 30-year-old Turkish citizen had documents but planned to cross the border outside the BCPs.

In another case, servicemen of the Krakivets BG Division received information from a local resident about the appearance of a stranger at the border. The border detail immediately detained the foreigner. During a conversation with border guards, the 22-year-old Jordanian said he wanted to enter one of the EU countries but did not have all the documents needed to cross the border, so he decided to enter abroad illegally.

Protocols have been drawn up against all detained offenders. Decisions on cases will be made by the court.
