Border guards at the BCP Starokozache, along with officers from the Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi Detachment and Odesa Customs, uncovered electronic cigarettes that a foreigner attempted to smuggle out of Ukraine.

The 39-year-old Moldovan citizen attempted to smuggle nearly 150 e-cigarettes and refill liquids out of Ukraine by utilizing the design features of his vehicle to conceal the items under the luggage compartment and front passenger seats.

The offender confessed to purchasing the merchandise in Ukraine with the intention of selling it abroad at double the price.

However, the consequence of his actions includes the confiscation of the vehicle and goods, as well as legal prosecution.
