Recently, at the Mohyliv-Podilskyi BCP, a foreigner offered $ 1,000 to the border guards to be granted entry to Ukraine.

According to the traveller, this way of “motivating” the border guards of the Mohyliv-Podilskyi Border Guard Detachment will enable to enter our country without any hindrance, despite temporary restrictions for foreign citizens entering Ukraine, introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.

The Border guards, once again showing zero tolerance to corruption, refused to take bribes. Instead, the case of detection of crime signs provided by Art. 369 of the Criminal Code “Offer, promise or providing an improper benefit to an official”, was reported to the police officers.

It should be recalled that the Government amended the Resolution from July 22, 2020 № 641, according to which, in order to prevent the spread of the second wave of the respiratory disease COVID-19 in Ukraine, temporary restrictions on the entry by foreigners into Ukraine are introduced for the period from August 28 to September 28, 2020.
