The national Anthem sounded and the national flag was raised in all Border Guard Units in order to honor the holiday.

Flowers were laid to the memorials of the fallen defenders of the Motherland of all generations. Among them were 67 brave border guards, who in 2014 took part in combat actions in the east of Ukraine and died for their homeland.

The leaders of the local authorities greeted border guards and noted that the soldier in the green beret will always be a true example of courage and bravery.

In general during this day both at the state and at the departmental level, 1350 employees of the SBGS, who faithfully carry out their duties and defend the state border in the most difficult hours, were awarded.
