BORDER GUARDS TOOK PART IN AN ONLINE MEETING OF STAFF TRAINING COORDINATORS OF EU BORDER AGENCIES

Representatives of the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine took part in an online meeting of national coordinators training of EU border agencies.

Representatives of the Bohdan Khmelnytskyi National Academy of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine took part in an online meeting of national coordinators training of EU border agencies. The purpose of the meeting, organized by the Personnel Training Department of FRONTEX, was to start the process of updating the Unified Basic Level Training Program for EU border guards.

Ivonna Frankovska, Project Manager for the Development and Implementation of the Unified Training Program of FRONTEX Agency, and Seppo Turkiya, Chief Expert (Finland), reported on the results of the Program for Assessing the Interoperability (Interaction) Assessment of EU Border Guard Personnel in 2020-2021. The participants of the meeting provided feedback on the implementation of the project at the national level, after which further work on updating the Unified Basic Level Training Program for EU border guards was discussed. It was also planned to conduct needs analysis of all border agencies of the EU and FRONTEX partner countries. A questionnaire developed by the FRONTEX Personnel Training Department will allow to analyze the relevance of the training content of the Unified Training Program, identify outdated training issues and propose modern topics for discussion, according to the needs of each border agency.
