On the base of the Weapons of mass destruction Training Center of the Main Center for Training of SBGS Personnel for countering improvised explosive devices, the first basic stage of training the personnel of the State Border Service bodies for countering improvised explosive devices was held.

During the training, the participants considered issues related to the awareness of damaging factors during the explosion of the improvised explosive devices, their structure, the main explosives used to create them, the procedure for assessing threats when detecting these devices, methods for studying possible installation sites and identifying vulnerable areas. Also, the participants of the training devoted a lot of time to practical exercises on finding explosive devices on the ground using various technical means and tools.

This training session is the first one of a series of training sessions. In August 2021, it is planned to conduct the second stage of Personnel Training, which will be devoted to training in the search for improvised explosive devices in various vehicles both at checkpoints and on the green border.
