Officers of the operational unit of Mohyliv-Podilsky border guard detachment revealed the scheme of illegal purchase, storage and sale of foreign-made tobacco products.

As part of the criminal proceedings, a joint group of officers of the SBU Office in Vinnytsia Oblast, investigators of the Mohyliv-Podilskyi District Police Department and border guards, under the procedural guidance of the Vinnytsia District Prosecutor's Office, conducted an authorized search of the residence of one of the defendants.

As a result, law enforcement officers found a large number of foreign-made tobacco products from Moldova, Belarus, and Russia that entered Ukraine illegally. A total of 71.5 thousand packs of cigarettes of various brands were seized during the searches. The cost of confiscated tobacco products is about 3 million hryvnias.
