Permission to go to sea at that time was not asked by any small craft. As provocations of the aggressor country are possible in this water area, border guards were quick to react. The boat of the Mariupol Marine Guard detachment went out to identify and intercept the target.

Violators did not respond to radio requests and sound signals to stop given by law enforcement officers. Eventually, the runaway boat stopped near the coast. There were two men on its board. They told the border guards that they decided to test their boat after the repair, by the way, the engine of the violators’ boat turned out to be two hundred horsepower.

The “testers” did not have their identity documents with them, but they claimed to be citizens of Ukraine. They presented the documents for the right to run the boat and for the boat itself.

The offenders will be held administratively liable for departing from the shore and mooring to the shore outside the base, as well as for moving in a controlled border area on a small vessel without identity documents.
